Arbitration involves the
resolution of any dispute through the use of a
disinterested arbitrator instead of a court judge or
a jury. Most arbitration proceedings are "binding"
which means the parties must accept the decision of
the arbitrator with very limited rights of appeal to
our traditional court system. The obligation to
arbitrate can arise from a prior contract or
agreement between the parties which contains an
arbitration clause or, in the absence of a prior
arbitration clause, the parties can agree to use
arbitration after a dispute has arisen. Arbitration
can be used in any type of dispute. Please contact
any of our attorneys if you need assistance with an
arbitration matter. You may also want to review the

dispute in which you are involved.
