Reid J. Perkins is a
native of Montana. He graduated from the University
of Montana School of Law in 2002 with honors. Reid
was an Assistant Editor with the Montana Law Review
and a member of Phi Delta Phi. Reid graduated with a
Bachelors of Arts degree with honors in Psychology
in 1997 and also earned a Bachelors of Arts degree
in Political Science with honors in 1998. In
addition, he has a minor in Asian Studies. As an
undergraduate, Reid was a member of Phi Kappa Phi
National Honor Society, Golden Key National Honor
Society and was published in Literary Arts Magazine.
Reid joined the firm as an intern during law school
during the Summer of 2000. After passing the Montana
State Bar exam, he began working for the firm as an
associate in 2002. Before joining the firm, Reid
worked in a variety of jobs ranging from labor jobs
to youth counseling. Currently, Reid handles a wide
variety of
commercial litigation matters including
property transactions, construction disputes,
easement disputes, business torts, intellectual
property disputes,
labor and
employment issues,
commercial code issues,
banking litigation, and
breach of
contract actions. He also practices in the
areas of
arbitration,
collections,
consumer
protection,
insurance and insurance defense,
mediation,
personal
injury, and
products
liability.
Reid has successfully represented a diverse range of
clients in Federal and State Courts, at arbitration,
and through the appellate level and also has
experience representing clients in front a jury. He
represents both businesses and individuals as
plaintiffs and also defends them in cases where they
have been sued. With experience ranging from
representing large multi-state businesses to
individuals, Reid brings a dedication to client
service to each and every one of his clients,
regardless of size.
Reid is an eager, although not particularly
talented, golfer and active in a number of community
organizations. In his free time, Reid enjoys
spending time with his family and friends.
