Born into an Air Force family, Ben spent much of his
youth on the fly, including a brief stint in Great
Falls. When Ben's father retired as a
Lieutenant Colonel his family settled in Round Rock,
TX. Ben graduated magna cum laude from Abilene
Christian University in Abilene, TX with a Bachelors
of Arts degree in History and minors in Political
Science and Biblical Studies in 2005. After
graduation, Ben worked as a Professor's Assistant
for ACU's Study Abroad program in Oxford, England.
Ben began his law school career at South Texas
College of Law in Houston, TX where he participated
in intramural, state, and national mock trial and
moot court competitions, winning the 2007 National
Health Law Moot Court Competition. After two
years in Houston, Ben moved across the country to
spend his last year of law school in Missoula as a
visiting student at the University of Montana School
of Law. Ben earned his J.D. from South Texas
College of Law in December 2008.
Ben joined the firm as
an intern shortly after his arrival in Montana.
After passing the Montana State Bar exam, he began
working for the firm as an associate attorney in May
2009. During his time as an intern, Ben
successfully litigated two trials under Montana's
Student Practice Rule. As an associate, Ben
practices in a wide variety of areas including
litigation,
elder
law, construction law, and
hospital
and healthcare law.
When not at the office
Ben enjoys hiking and camping in the Montana
outdoors. He is active in the Missoula
Building Industry Association and is a member of the
Building Futures Committee. Ben also enjoys
his role as a volunteer youth minister at Missoula
Valley Church.
