Amy M. Scott Smith, associate attorney, has a
diverse practice, with a primary focus on
real
estate and
litigation
matters. She also has experience
with
family
law. Amy earned her J.D. from the
University of Montana in 2008. While in law
school, she served as Editor in Chief of the Public
Land and Resources Law Review and president of the
Montana Public Interest Law Coalition. Amy
also has a Masters in Public Administration (2005)
and a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology (2003) from
the University of Montana, where her graduate work
involved developing strategies and programs for
advising university students facing academic
difficulties.
Amy interned at Montana Legal Services for a year
before joining Worden Thane, P.C. as an intern in
2007. After passing the Montana State Bar
exam, and being admitted to practice law in Montana,
she began working for the firm as an associate in
October 2008. Amy is a member of the Montana
Bar Association, Western Montana Bar Association,
and American Bar Association. She is admitted
to practice law in Montana State and Federal Courts.
When not working, Amy and her husband enjoy time
with their family and friends, are active in
Missoula sports, and spend much of their summers
camping. They are also avid sports fans, and
often can be found watching Grizzly football, Lady
Griz basketball, and Osprey baseball.
